It is with great regret that we announce the death of our senior and managing partner, Mike MacDonald, on 20 February 2009, aged 61. Mike was very much the cornerstone of BRM, a firm he helped form with the creation of Rice & Co in 1982.

For most of his time at BRM, Mike specialised in company and commercial law and he enjoyed a deserved reputation for excellence, integrity and sheer hard work.

He will be sorely missed by friends, colleagues and clients.

Employment Law Training Update

The employment law training sessions we have been running for companies since June have gone extremely well. Very positive feedback has been received from all who have attended. Saturday 10th October and Sunday 11th October is first time buyers and first time sellers weekend

Wilkins Vardy (in association with BRM Solicitors) are hosting a special event weekend especially for first time buyers and sellers.

During the event weekend only, Wilkins Vardy and BRM will be offering advice on many matters relating to buying your first home or selling for the first time. More importantly, for the event weekend only, first time sellers will receive free market appraisals, a free home information pack (HIP), free advertising and discounted legal fees.

First time buyers will be offered free independent mortgage advice, direct only deals and discounted legal fees.

BRM will also be providing advice on Wills and the variations of the Lasting Powers of Attorney.
