How to fund an employment claim or problem?

  • Privately paying - Paying our charges on a time spent basis for all work completed. This is based on the hourly charging rate for the fee earner dealing with your matter. We can set limits and you will be advised fully about all costs before they any costs or disbursements are incurred

  • Legal Expenses insurance - This is whereby you have an insurance policy which meets your legal costs. Most people have this type of cover attached to their home insurance policy. If you have legal expenses insurance you can instruct BRM Solicitors to deal with the matter and we will liaise with you and your insurer to arrange the funding of your claim.

  • Fixed fee advice - advice on some employment law issues can be given based on a fixed price which is given to you before work starts.

  • Compromise Agreements - In most circumstances the cost of receiving advice in relation to the compromise agreement your employer has given you will be met by your employer. If this is not the case we will advise you of the likely costs you will incur.
