Opening Event Heralds A Bright Future In Sheffield For BRM Solicitors
On 18 October 2018, we welcomed over 100 guests and business partners to celebrate the legal firm’s arrival in the city and the formal opening of their Sheffield city centre offices.
In April, the law firm, with headquarters in Chesterfield, became tenants of the prestigious Steel City House on West Street taking half of its third floor, joining Scott’s Developments, British Business Bank, and health economics firm BresMed.
The welcome, by Adrian Sheehan, BRM Director and Head of Real Estate, focused on the future of Sheffield as a strategically positioned national business hub and the bright future of the ‘Steel City’ as a place to do business and BRM’s future participation in Sheffield.
Guests were invited to enjoy the celebratory drinks and inspect the new office and meeting spaces. They were also treated to an exclusive ‘Taste of Sheffield’ canapé tasting menu created by Michelin acclaimed Sheffield born chefs, ‘Jamie Bosworth’ and ‘Marcus Lane’, with music from award-winning electric violinist ‘Alexandra’. A limited edition ‘business as usual’ print by renowned Sheffield artist Joe Scarborough was won by a lucky guest.
Adrian Sheehan stated:
“This event was a chance for us to show business partners and professionals in Sheffield that we are open for business in the city with a talented team, offering prompt, correct and plain English legal advice and innovative solutions.
BRM has gained national reputation for its high standards and flexibility, attracting clients from all over the UK. With locally sourced talent at our new office helping businesses realise their ambitions in Sheffield and nationally, we look forward to being part of and helping shape the future of the city and acting as ambassadors for Sheffield on the national stage.”
Alastair Reid, BRM Director who heads up the Sheffield office said,
“It was amazing to see so many business partners join us in raising a glass to welcome our team to Sheffield. We will be looking to fill this fantastic space over the coming months with the brightest and best legal talent in Sheffield and from other big cities in the UK over the coming few years.”
The event also saw BRM announce that the Sheffield office will support Cavendish Cancer Care as their chosen charity for the year.
Alastair Reid said:
“Every charity has dedicated people working with them and each of their causes needs support so selecting one is difficult. Having met and talked with the team at Cavendish Cancer Care, we admire their dedication, work, and simplicity of their aims. Their core values of “Professional, Respectful, Open and Honest, Unflappable and Determined” are very closely aligned to ours as legal professionals. We hope that we can help Cavendish Cancer Care continue to make a real difference to people affected by cancer in Sheffield and North East Derbyshire and are proud to support them.”
