Back in January, I summarised the overhaul of TUPE Legislation announced by the government. That summary can be found at the following link:
TUPE Changes Come Into Force TodayOne key change applicable from today is an increase in the time allowed for the provision of Employee Liability Information.
In any TUPE transfer taking place on or after 1st May 2014, Employee liability information must now be provided 28 days before the transfer.
Prior to this date, the allowed timescale was 14 days.
While this is not a major alteration to current rules, this is a point any business undergoing the TUPE process will need to be wary of.
